Bobbie Pulver Obituary

Barbara "Bobbie" Pulver

6-24-1947 to 1-7-2019

Barbara Jean "Bobbie" Pulver of Ashland Oregon died peacefully at home on January 7, 2019 after a seven-year battle with cancer. Bobbie was born on June 24, 1947 in Valparaiso, Indiana. She spent her early years in the Midwest and the Philippines. Her curiosity about the world led her to studies at the University of Indiana, Southern Oregon University and Heartwood Institute. Bobbie moved to Ashland in 1973 and worked at Southern Oregon University in administrative support for 27 years.

In her retirement, Bobbie served on the Rose Circle Mentoring Network Board of Directors (now Rogue Valley Mentoring). For 15 years, she sang joyfully in the Jefferson State Choral Coalition. She will be remembered by her friends and family for her gentle, caring nature, clever wit and compassionate heart.

Bobbie is survived by her sister, Marian (Charles) Worden of Valparaiso, Indiana; two nieces, and four great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, January 27, at 1:00 pm at Bellview Grange, 1050 Tolman Creek Road, Ashland. Contributions may be made to Rogue Valley Mentoring (www.rvmentoring.org) or Jefferson State Choral Coalition (www.jeffersonstatechoralcoalition.com).
